RUMPUS 2018: Relay

Day two of RUMPUS began with the Relay, which began in the Cove and consisted of house members completing multiple challenges spread out across campus. After completing each event, the team member had to run to the next challenge.

“My favorite event is where they have to put the s’mores together because it’s such a simple task but it’s so funny because we’re all struggling to put them on fast,” junior Morgan Ivester (REG) said. “So, sometimes you miss the marshmallow but it’s ok.”

Some of the many relay events included juggling tennis balls, eating two hot dogs, and solving a math problem.

“I think the last event, eating the hot dog was probably pretty hard for those girls and boys,” senior Lilley Washburn (CPR) said. “Eating a hot dog in the morning is probably not something you want to do.”

During this event, one house had to make up for a lack of members that were sick.

“Well, I think it’s really boosting morale just because we all know that we gotta pick up the slack where we don’t have enough people,” junior Ben Doig (NEV) said. “At the end of the day it’s just the hand you’re dealt, and you just gotta push through it.”

Regester and Moser won the event, followed by Cooper and Neville in second then Thornwood and Summerbell.
