Students at Darlington visited all sorts of different places over Thanksgiving break to spend time with friends and family.

Some of these students, such as day student Ethan Thoem (11) traveled for sports tournaments over the break.

“I had a golf tournament in Alabama,” Thoem said. “That was fun. For the other couple of days, I sat around the house and hung out with friends.”

Over Thanksgiving break, residential students were not allowed to stay in the dorms. Students like Luis Weers who could not return home stayed with friends over the break.

“I stayed with my roommate John Courtnay and his family. We spent Thanksgiving together and we had 36 people at his house,” Weers said. “We stayed at his house in Atlanta.”

Students who are from different countries, such as Weers who is from Germany, can experience traditional Thanksgiving food.

“My favorite part was probably the food. We don’t really eat Turkey in Germany that much,” Weers said. “There was a lot of food.”
