On Tuesday 6 January 2021 the girls swim and dive team had their first meet of 2022  just two days back from break. 

They have had quite the season they have placed in 3rd, 2nd and 1st places since the beginning of the season. 

The Jan. 6 meet pitted Darlington against against Cartersville, Mt. Paran and Paulding County. Two  other teams had to back out due to Covid-related reasons. The girl’s team placed first in the meet. 

“We had only been back in practice for two days. But everyone did good,” senior Anne-Marie Wright said.

The girl’s team won overall which has been a habit all season.

“We won overall we had a lot of first places and I think it’s important to offer yourself a bit of grace, especially after such a long break,” Wright said.

The next meet is January 18 vs. Calhoun.
