Kallan Kinsey ’17 smiles as she reflects upon her time at Darlington and considers her future following graduation.

Senior Kallan Kinsey craves adventure.

“My hobbies include piano, golf and cheerleading, but my true passion is traveling even though I, like, never travel,” Kinsey said.

Although the farthest Kinsey has traveled is to New York City, she dreams of getting her passport “tattooed” with stamps from all over one day.

“I want to go to Italy first,” Kinsey said. “I love Italian food and that’s why it caught my attention, and it looks really pretty there. I also want to go to Greece one day because it seems really pretty as well.”

Kinsey already has an itinerary set for her future travel plans.

“I’d want to go to tons of restaurants and try all the must-have foods, especially in Italy,” Kinsey said. “I’d also want to go hiking and go to the beaches in Greece because they’re so pretty in pictures.”

With hopes of attending the University of Tennessee to study computer engineering, Kinsey plans on using her computer engineering skills to further her career and travel aspirations, tying her two dreams together.

“You can have that job everywhere, I think, so that would be fun to do,” Kinsey said. “I wouldn’t want to stay over there for the rest of my life, but it would be fun to just go for a little while. Experience something new.”
