Black Friday and Cyber Monday are two days that are known for getting deals on certain things you want. On Black Friday, which is in-person shopping, you can get deals on certain products, but not all brands participate. Cyber Monday is online shopping where it is the same thing where if the brand participates, you can get deals on their products. Black Friday is always the day after Thanksgiving, and Cyber Monday is the following Monday after it. Brands tend to do it after Thanksgiving because most people start their Christmas season then, so they see the deals and think to themselves they can go ahead and get their family, friends, and themselves Christmas presents at a discounted price.
But in my opinion, I feel like Black Friday is becoming different, because it used to be that back in the day, people would fight each other for the deals and to get the last of their treasured items. Because so many people participated and would wake up early to get stuff, the prices were at an all time low and the deals were incredible. Thanks to Cyber Monday, now the numbers of people who participate is at an all time low. Most of the deals are have begun being listed two weeks before it is even Black Friday, so it takes away the value and deals from the Black Friday day itself, making it near absolute. For Cyber Monday, the deals are also online for weeks in advance, spoiling the in person shopping for Black Friday.
The last point I was to mention is that the people looking for good deals wish it would go back to how it was years ago where people would wake up early and be excited for the deals. Then, the deals were real and the items felt like a steal. With all this said, there are still some brands that do it originally with good deals, but the ones that aren’t being honest are ruining it for the shoppers.
