The girls in Thornwood decorated and spent a night with each other to celebrate Christmas.

Sydney Barndt, a senior boarding student from Alaska, talks about her experience at the Thornwood Christmas party. 

“We all got into our different pods and each got a gingerbread house and in the pod,” Barndt said. “We decorated the gingerbread houses and the best one wins.”

Barndt says that they also decorated the Christmas tree together.

“There was Christmas music and food,” Barndt said. “It was fun. I smiled and laughed a lot.”

Jennifer Mitrasch, a junior boarding student from Germany, talks about her experience at the Thornwood Christmas party.

“It was great, I had fun,” Mitrasch said. “I liked the Chick-fil-A sandwiches and the Christmas cookies”.

Mitrasch says that they had a gingerbread house decorating competition.

“We decorated the tree, ate together and we got gingerbread houses to decorate,” Mitrasch said. “It was basically a competition.”
