Nee-Dohs are one of the toys that have been popular in the past and are becoming popular again. Many students use them in school when teachers are talking and at home. Kids also use them as toys to play with. There has also been trends on social media of popping them to see what is on the inside or getting needles and poking them to take the air out of them. Nee-Dohs are filled with many different substances to make different textures to play with.
“I used to have some Nee-Dohs when I was little. I liked to squish the toys since I was young,” said sophomore Zeinab Wade. “They used to be really trendy back then-more than they are now. I had the marshmallow ones, I had one in the shape of a popsicle, and I had one the shape of Minnie Mouse. I think they’re really good for stress for whatever is going on in your life. I would say I use them outside, because they’re good for stress for school, but they distract me like in classroom.”
Many students at school use Nee-Dohs around school and you can see them just laying around. Many student also have fallen onto the trends of popping them or getting the air out of them.
“I have 6 or more Nee-Dohs, and they are pink, blue, orange and purple,” said sophomore Mae Mae Galyon. “I use them because I like to be able to have something in my hands especially when I’m sitting still. They’re nice too when I’m watching a movie or if I’m doing something on my phone or watching something. They all feel different, it depends on which one you get, but they’re hard, soft and in between, but the inside’s really sticky, and the outside’s squishy. I popped one of the ones and shaving cream was in that one, it wasn’t that bad it’s like almost slimy from the inside.”
There are many different types of colors and types of Nee-Dohs available to buy. But due to their rising popularity they have become infamously hard to find and purchase.
“They are just a nice thing to play with, I have three, I have a pink and blue Nee-Doh Dream drop, a color changing one and an ice cube. The texture is hard but once you play with they they get softer. I got mine at Target, but they’ve been really hard to find so I haven’t got any more,” said sophomore Mia Grioni.
