Near the end of every school year, all of the students associated with the theater come together to give the seniors a send-off. They do this in the form of the theater banquet, and the most recent one happened last Sunday.
“The theater banquet is a get-together by all the people that were involved in theater over the last year, usually [it’s] just kind of a good send-off,” senior J.R. Johnson said.
At the banquet, students can choose to give performances for the seniors, such as singing or giving a speech.
“If you want to sing a song you can, if you wanna do a speech you can do a speech, it’s not like everyone has to do one though,” senior Oliver Liu said.
The theater banquet also included food. According to Johnson, there was chicken and salmon.
“It started at 6:30 and it went to around 8:40ish, and it happened on the home on the hill,” sophomore Becca Yoo said.
The banquet has been held for four years in a row, and according to J.R. Johnson, it will still be held yearly for the foreseeable future.
