Head football coach Wayne Groves and senior linebacker Sam Twente both share about how the fans should show out at Chris Hunter Stadium for the Homecoming game this Friday night. They both express how the crowd gives an advantage at home games by being loud and supportive.
“The bigger the crowd the louder the noise that they are going to make,” Groves said. “The more noise the crowd makes the more it fires the Tigers up to play hard and play longer.”
Twente shares from the players perspective on having home field advantage.
“The fans being loud creates a good environment,” Twente said. “It encourages me and I think the whole team to work harder and to try our best.”
Groves has prepared the Tigers for this region matchup all week. He speaks on the players’ behalf about the home crowd.
“Nothing fires up the boys more than in a big moment of a ball game looking up in the stands and seeing our students going crazy,” Groves said. “Be there early, be loud, wear purple, and go Tigers.”
