Recently, on Sunday, January 21st, the Darlington School Soccer Academy went on a trip to Atlanta United for the Atlanta United Showcase. The academy played against KSA’s MLS next team. The event ended with Darlington Having a 2-2 record overall across four games.
A variety of Schools and teams went to the showcase, including representatives from colleges throughout the region. “There were some really good schools like Clemson St Louis and a lot of other coaches there,” said Jayden.
College coaches attended this showcase with their teams. The sentences of the game played by the soccer academy were good among the team members: “I think we played very well cause the team we played was a good MLS next team, and winning 3-0 is a good result,” Overall, the event was a success for the Darlington Soccer Academy.
While the game’s results turned out to be a victory for Darlington, the team members had to go through training and hardship to achieve this. Especially when their game was on Sunday, which was right after Rumpus. Jayden commented, “It was tiring. We had to get up at like 6:30 cause our game was in Atlanta at like 9, but our team did well even though we had rumpus the day before.”
