What drives you to do better at something?
“I guess [it’s] the goal I set for myself.”
What would happen if you never wasted another minute of your life, what would that look like?
“I might already get in the Chinese university and have a different life, who knows.”
Do you consider yourself the hero or the villain in your story?
“The villain.”
How much control do you really have over yourself?
“I think about 50 percent.”
What have you given up on?
“Some math problems, and learning guitar because it hurt my finger so much.”
Describe a time in your life where you felt pushed to your farthest physical, mental, and/or emotional boundary.
“I think when I decided to go to American high school, but failed twice in the TOEFL test when I also had a dispute with my parents.”
What are you holding onto that you feel you need to let go of?
“Nothing.”

“Mostly diplomatic.”
