With another in the series, here I talk all things logistics! Where and how to take pictures, the best places to eat, and spots to hangout at after the dance!
Pictures:
Possibly one of the biggest parts of prom, your pictures need to be perfect! There are two prominent photo-taking locations around Rome. The first is Berry College with its beautiful campus. There are a couple of spots at Berry that majority of people use. The first is Frost Chapel, a large and beautiful chapel with lots of grass and a small pond. The next spot is the Hoge Building, with the long driveway enveloped by trees. Both spots make for a nice background for your pictures with the lighting usually being right at late afternoon.
Dinner:
Dinner, to me, is also another important part of the prom experience. If you’re wanting a fancier spot to really get into the mood of the night, there are spots like La Scala and Aventine. Both have expensive food and the vibe of a fancier night. If you want a nice dinner but a casual place, there are places like Bella Roma or Bluefin. Again, still great food, but less of a fancy vibe. There’s also nothing wrong with wanting a chill dinner at some place like Moes BQQ or even a McDonalds. This is your night so decide what will be the most fun and comfortable for you. If you really want a special night you could potentially drive to Cartersville or somewhere else and have a nicer dinner there. Or, if you’re a member, you could also have a fancy dinner at the Coosa Country Club.
After:
The after events of prom are just as important as any of the things that happen before! Of course, if you want to get cozy in bed with your friends and watch a movie, that is totally fun, too! But, if you’re looking for some fun, there are a couple of options. First, you could obviously stay the entirety of prom. A lot of kids will leave before its over, but if you want to keep dancing it out, you should! Another option is going to downtown Rome and hitting up the City Creamery, an ice cream and candy joint. They’ve got couches and tables to sit at, along with a lot of tasty treats like boba, exotic candy, frozen yogurt, coffee and hand-scooped ice cream. Lastly, you could always go back to a friends house and have your own fun there!
