Prom, one of the biggest events in high school, is sneakily around the corner. With the theme, Enchanted Garden, being revealed on February 10th, juniors and seniors are steadily asking their dates, finding their suits and dresses, and booking reservations.
With the new culture of prom dresses, some girls find their glitzy dresses in local prom shops, while others like to online shop. Dresses online can range from simple, classy and elegant, to sparkly, in-your-face and bright. Here are some of my top dresses and their websites in each price range.
$: Amazon and Lucy In The Sky
The cheapest and best quality dresses I could find came from Amazon and Lucy in the Sky.
Amazon has dresses that range in prices, but most stay in the $50-$150 range. One dress is a Sherri Hill lookalike, with the actual dress costing upwards of $500. The First Amazon Dress is $80 and already has more than enough reviews stating that the dress looks just as good as it’s more expensive counterpart. The dress also has a range of sizes, from 0 to 26 plus, along with 35 other colors and patterns.
One of my favorites from Lucy in the Sky is this one. The dress is $69.90 and is a dress that I would see on someone else and think is beautiful. I am currently obsessed with strapless dresses and I think the added ruffle gives it the final touches. They have other colors like royal and baby blue, black, and even another shade of red, but I find the darker red to be the prettiest.
$$: Revolve and Zapaka
Revolve and Zapaka are my spots for mildly expensive dresses, with their prices ranging from $100-$300.
Revolve is my one stop shop for all my dresses, no matter the occasion. They have beautiful dresses from an array of designers and do returns and exchanges. Of course, you could find a $500 dress on their website, but this is one of my favorites. I love the satin, and the uniqueness of the silhouette. It’s also a dress you could wear again and it’s price is $198.
Zapaka is a website I have only recently heard of but a lot of girls on social media have been talking about it as it has unique dresses for an affordable price. This one caught my eye immediately, and I think it does a good job of still being very sparkly and girly, while also being very pretty. The price on this one is $168 and I think this dress and this website should definitely get more attention.
$$$: Sherri Hill and Retrofete
The last price range in the more expensive range, if you’re willing to drop more on prom.
Sherri Hill is one of the biggest prom dress designers in the game right now, and although you can’t order directly from their website, you can however find a store that carries the dress that you want. If I could spend any amount of prom I would buy this dress. The pattern is my absolute favorite, the bow is adorable, and the silhouette is also super unique while also still being cute.
Retrofete has also been taking the formal dress world by storm, with their dresses gaining popularity in the past years. One of my personal favorites was the Lyanna Dress. I love the material and the unique color. The strapless neckline along with the looser fit throughout the bodice allows for a timeless and beautiful dress that can be reworn.
