Chick-Fil-A Moves to Riverside
Although rumors of the Rome Dwarf House closing for remodeling sometime next year left many customers concerned, a new drive-thru location will allow Chick-fil-A fans to continue enjoying the restaurant.
“I’m glad that they’re opening this so I still have a Chick-fil-A to go to,” freshman Luke Lewis said. “Chick-fil-A is really separating themselves from other fast food chains.”
The new location, Chick-fil-A Riverside, is offering a limited menu that includes most of the items from the original menu; however, some items such as chicken strips, salads and iced coffee won’t be served.
“I’m sad that there won’t be any iced coffee at the new one,” senior Emily Taylor said. “I always like getting it in the morning on the way to school.”
With the location positioned in the middle of a busy parking lot, there is also a concern for possible traffic issues.
“I think that it will be really busy with all of the other restaurants that are in the same parking lot,” senior Abigail Smith said. “The old Chick-fil-A is on my way to school, so the new location is kind of inconvenient.”
It is unknown whether this location is temporary or if it will permanently stay open after the original location is remodeled, but the drive-thru will satisfy customers’ Chick-fil-A cravings.
