Plans Heat Up as Weather Cools Down
Fall break will be here before we know it.
Freshman Audrey McFall is one of many students attending the Clemson football game during fall break.
“I would rather go to the beach,” she said. Her favorite things about her beach of choice, Rosemary, are: “just the shops and the Sugar Shak,” McFall said.
She isn’t the only one who would choose to go to the beach. Anna Kate Cash is going to North Carolina, but if she could go anywhere else, she’d go to Panama City Beach.
“There’s a lot going on. A lot of people are there and there’s a lot of stuff to do, so you’re never bored,” she said.
Abby Sklar, like Audrey and Anna Kate, would also choose the beach, Seaside specifically, as her second choice.
“There’s a really cool bookstore,” Sklar said, “It’s the coolest bookstore ever.”
Our poll shows that 33.9% of students are staying in Rome this fall break, but 27.5% would rather go to the beach before winter comes. The number one place Darlington students wish they were going is Europe, all out of 117.
JD Hull is staying in Rome over fall break and plans on playing basketball when he can.
“There’s nothing else I’d rather do,” said Hull.
Our first real break will begin on October 1st and end on October 4th, classes will resume Monday, October 5th.
