Vacations are important for getting away from daily stresses. Trips help to clear your mind and relax to finish the rest of the year without being burned out. Students like to get away and enjoy time off. Time off might mean hanging out with friends or spending family time depending on preference. The biggest question is where you would choose to go for a break while other students would rather stay home. Another big decision for your perfect vacation is if you would stay for a few days or a week. Also what time of weather you would like on your break. For example, if you were going to the beach you might want warm summer weather, but on the other hand, if you were going skiing you might wish for cold winter weather. A few students were interviewed about what they were planning on doing for Spring Break.
Junior Jake Beatty wants his Spring Break to be active doing some of his favorite hobbies.
“I would go on a trip with my friends and go fishing, and spend a lot of time on the water during the days,” Beatty said. “I’d spend my time at night going out somewhere nice to eat or spending time with my friends at the beach or a pool. Some days I’d also go out on the water just to have fun and ride inter tubes and wakeboard.”
Freshman Kosa Enoma would like to spend family time with his family and do a family trip together.
“I would like to go on a family vacation for Spring Break with my family and go to Greece. In Greece, I would like to sightsee and just relax while I am out of school. The perfect length for my vacation would be about one week and a half,” Enoma said.
Some students like senior Clara Alonso Guelbenzu might choose a vacation to somewhere they have been before because they enjoy traveling there or like the similarity.
“This spring break I am going to the Bahamas with my roommate Moanna, which is a three-hour plane flight away from Atlanta,” Guelbenzu said. “I am going to stay in Nassau for the whole break, which is about 10 days. I would still pick this vacation on another break because Nassau is beautiful and I always have a lot of fun when I go there. The perfect weather for my vacation is very warm and sunny.”
On the other hand, Enoma would like a trip to somewhere that has always been a dream visit.
“Greece has always been a dream trip for me, and I would go back as many times as I could. The perfect weather on this vacation would be the high 70s between 77 and 79 degrees with a nice breeze,” Enoma said.
Guelbenzu enjoys breaks to get away from school and have a brain break.
“For spring break, I would want to go somewhere warm like the beach. I think going to the beach or somewhere warm would help me disconnect more from school and have an actual break,” Guelbenzu said.
