On Sunday Sept. 7, 2014, Mr. Schmidt, a member of Darlington’s community for over 28 years, gave his AP scholars the chance to come in a watch “A Man For All Seasons” and receive a 100 quiz grade in return. This timepiece focused on the reign of Henry VIII’s reign in England; Sophomore Christina Kinder said that the extra credit assignment was, “exceptionally scholarly”, and junior Courtney Sabino agreed that she, “did not expect anything less.” Some students struggled to stay awake while others couldn’t help but give their undivided attention. There was a turnout of 24 students, who all met in Mr. Schmidt’s classroom, so be on the look out for the next chance to sit in and earn points. The more the merrier! (plus who doesn’t like a good documentary every now and again?)
